Who the heck does he think he is?
A lifelong advocate for sustainability, I’ve followed a path that bridges curiosity, hard work, and a deep commitment to the environment. As a child, I was shocked and outraged by Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth", so me and my buddy Jordan founded a club, the unfortunately-named "K2OPS" (Kids Keeping Our Planet Safe). It turned out that this was the beginning of an enduring passion for environmental stewardship.
My academic background includes a BA in Political Science (minoring in Environmental Management), complemented by diverse certifications in areas like data analytics and workplace safety.
Over the years, I’ve embraced a variety of roles—from dishwasher to community moderator to tree planter and forest management professional. I’ve had the privilege of planting over a million trees and, since I started working with Chris, tackling everything on the backend of forest restoration from data entry to safety protocols, contract negotiations, and team management.
Nowadays, I focus on researching and writing about nature-based solutions, blending my hands-on experience with my love for storytelling to inspire positive change and hopefully, getting people to think about the need for accountability in this global movement. As a proud member of the Society of Environmental Journalists, I strive to elevate transparency and evidence-based practices in the fight for a sustainable future.
Every step of this crazy yet eye-opening journey has reinforced my gratitude and determination to contribute to a sustainable future.
